Blessed Carlo Acutis Picture at St Columba’s

A framed picture of Blessed Carlo Acutis will be blessed and placed by our Lady’s Chapel at the Coming Youth Mass today at 6.00 pm. Blessed Carlo Acutis was a holy boy who infused the ordinary aspects of life with extraordinary love for God. During his 15 years on earth, he lived as a regular young person, going to school, playing soccer, eating at the pizzeria with his peers — though somehow making all of these activities a lived Gospel. In the regularity of his life, he can live holy lives in this day and age.

Fr Alessandro will be available to hear Confessions during the week by previous appointments as follows: St Columba’s on Tuesdays and Fridays 6.30—7.15 pm IHM after morning Mass on Wednesdays and Thursdays, on Saturdays 5.00—5.45 pm

Remember Sister Cecilia?

We have been told that she died recently in the Poor Servants of the Mother of God retirement home in Brentford just before her 96th birthday. Sr Cecilia retired from Our Lady’s School in 1990 where she served and lived in The Convent during the 70’s and 80’s. She was known and loved by many generations of local children and parents. May she rest in peace.
