Adult Formation

'The Priority is Adult Formation' is the title of a teaching document from our Bishops in England & Wales. We're just working out what we can share with other parishes in our Pastoral Area.

Bishop Peter's pastoral vision, Walking Humbly With Our God, invites parishes to co-operate in Pastoral Areas. Ours, the Mid-Bucks Pastoral Area, includes the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Great Missenden; St Anne's at Wendover; and St Teresa's at Princes Risborough. Some great work was done in putting together the Groundplan and it's now being implemented.

While there are already programmes in our individual parishes and all sorts of books and booklets available, we're currently exploring the possibility of offering a variety of shared activities open to all the parishes of our pastoral area under the broad heading of 'Faith Formation'.

Current local opportunities include:

Prayer, meditation and contemplation: Tuesdays in Lent at 7.30pm Wendover Christian Centre

Old Testament DVD lectures Wednesdays, 8pm in Damien Hall, Gt Missenden

Readers' Course at Hazlemere 7.30 - 9pm 6, 13 and 20 March.
